This weekend was my sister-in-law’s baby shower and I wanted to do something special for her because both she and her husband (my stepbrother) are always doing generous thoughtful things for my children – besides she is having her first baby!
Sure, it would be easy to just go to a baby boutique and buy a beautiful outfit, but I wouldn’t to something a little bit different. Hopefully these ideas will inspire you when it comes to planning your next baby shower:
Gift Basket: Knowing that she is having a boy,it was easy to select a color scheme. I chose a handful of colors that complemented each other – dark blue, light blue, light green and aqua. I chose items related to baby’s bath time as the theme and included items such as baby shampoo, body lotion, diaper cream, bath towels, and wash cloths. I also added some necessity items such as booties, soft mittens, an infant thermometer and an adorable plush stuffed animal which is an adorable addition to any gift basket.
Decorative Cookies: Adorable cookies in the shape of a stroller and baby’s onesie (you can also buy cookie cutters in the shape of a baby’s foot and a baby bottle).
