Football Party Wings

These party wings are easy to prepare and an amazing hit at any football party.

Using 2.5 lbs of frozen chicken wing sections, slow cook in 2 cups of water on high heat.  Cook approximately 4 hours. Then place chicken wings on the grill and coat generously with preferred sauce (recipes below).


Low-Carb Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 cup  low-carb ketchup (I used Heinz 1 carb brand)
1/3 cup Splenda
1 tsp chili powder
1 tablespoon vinegar
½ tablespoon salt
¾ tablespoon cayenne pepper
½ tsp pepper

Directions: Combine Ingredients and simmer covered for about 20 minutes.
Cool mixture and refrigerate until needed.

IMG_0840 Buffalo Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
2/3 cup hot pepper sauce (Frank’s Red-hot)
½ cup cold unsalted butter
1 ½ tablespoons white vinegar
¼  Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Combine ingredients and simmer covered for about 20 minutes. Cool mixture and refrigerate until needed

Combine the hot sauce, butter, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt in a pot and place over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer while stirring with a whisk. As soon as the liquid bubbles on the sides of the pot, remove the mixture from heat and set aside for use.
